Where we work

Established in 1997, Garduara Social Welfare Association has been serving humanity for more than two decades with dedication, integrity, and compassion. Our organization operates primarily in Garduara Village under Hathazari Thana in Chattogram District, Bangladesh, where we focus on supporting orphan children, underprivileged families, and socially vulnerable communities.

Since our establishment, we have been deeply rooted in the local community. Garduara Village and the surrounding areas of Hathazari include many low-income households that struggle with poverty, unemployment, limited access to education, and inadequate healthcare services. Recognizing these challenges, the Garduara Welfare Foundation began its journey with a mission to uplift the lives of those in need and provide sustainable support at the grassroots level.

Our work in this region is community-based and directly connected to the people we serve. We identify orphan children and vulnerable families through field visits, community engagement, and local volunteer networks. Many children in our area are at risk of discontinuing their education due to financial hardship. To address this, we provide educational support, including school supplies, financial assistance, and guidance to help them continue their studies and build a brighter future.

In addition to child-focused programs, we support struggling families with monthly food assistance, emergency financial aid, medical support for critical patients, and seasonal distribution programs such as winter clothing and festival support packages. Our goal is not only to provide temporary relief but to ensure long-term stability and dignity for families facing hardship.

Healthcare assistance is another key focus of our activities in Hathazari and the surrounding communities. Many families cannot afford the necessary medical treatments. We help arrange financial support for urgent cases, facilitate access to medical care, and organize humanitarian initiatives to support patients in crisis.

During natural disasters such as floods, cyclones, or emergency situations affecting Chattogram District, Garduara Welfare Foundation actively organizes relief distribution programs. We provide emergency food supplies, clean drinking water, essential medicines, and basic necessities to affected families. Our volunteers work directly in the field to ensure quick response and fair distribution.

Over the years, our consistent efforts since 1997 have strengthened community trust and participation. What began as a local initiative has grown into a respected community-based humanitarian organization. While our core operations remain centered in Garduara Village and Hathazari Thana, our long-term vision is to expand our services throughout Chattogram District and eventually to other regions of Bangladesh.

We believe that meaningful and lasting change begins at the grassroots level. By serving our own community with sincerity and accountability, Garduara Welfare Foundation continues to work toward building a compassionate, self-sustaining, and empowered society where no child is left without care, and no family suffers alone.
